I saw this little craft on Pinterest a while ago so we started saving our paper towel and toilet paper roll tubes. It took about 2 minutes to make but is really going to spook those trick or treaters this Halloween! Peek-a-Boo monster eyes are spooky and creepy and easy to make from recycled toilet paper and paper towel rolls and glow sticks. I love this project because we are recycling and can get glow sticks at the dollar store. This project only costs about $1 to make!

Fun with Candy Corn DIY Decorations for Halloween

Halloween this year for my house has a candy corn theme going on. I don’t know how it happened but each DIY project I was attracted to was candy corn related. First the Candy Corn Cones and then the Wine Bottle Candy Corn Light and now these easy and tasty candy corn crafts!

These tasty projects made with actual candy corn were a lot of fun. They are great for all ages and if there’s a candy corn that splits, YUM! That works too.

The candy corn bracelet, necklace and garland are all created the same way. EASY!

Reeses Brownie Toffee Delight Ice Cream Cake Recipe

Every year Bill’s daughter asks for ice cream cake for her birthday. This year, I decided I would make one for her. I browsed Pinterest for ideas of easy to make ice cream cakes and saw a couple different possibilities. This is how I cook and create anything I do. I compare a few ideas, take the parts I like, and concoct what works for me. This Reese’s Brownie Toffee Delight Ice Cream Cake was AMAZING! The entire family loved it! All three of us participated in the creation, but it was extremely easy to do. In our house we believe in affordability, ease, and taste. For a 13th birthday celebration, TASTE is priority. This has all we were looking for and was a true success!

Dragonfly Fire Cider and Such…

On my windowsill above the sink sit jars of Fire Cider and herb flavored vinegar. Now is the time to start these if you want them ready for gift giving during December. Use Fire Cider daily to kick-start your day. A teaspoon – tablespoon should do the trick. It may also be used to help your body fight common colds. One sip will heat your insides! Quick & Easy DIY Candy Corn Light for Halloween

Last night I made a super cool Halloween craft – the candy corn cone craft I’ve been seeing around everywhere. I thought they were great, but I wanted to brighten it up a bit. With all the excitement of meeting Kathie Lee Gifford over the weekend, I also had wine on my mind. 😉 Also, on my way to work this morning, when I talked to my sister about it, we came up with this quick and easy wine bottle candy corn light. Tonight I worked through it as it was a little bit trickier than the candy corn cones. The smooth surface and shape of the bottle created a little challenge but was well worth it!

Easy DIY Candy Corn Decoration

Is it really only 2 weeks until Halloween? Wow! Time flies by when you are crafting! The fall leaf rose was such a success a lot of our projects took a back burner as we answered our fans’ comments on the blog and on Facebook and made the video tutorial for leaf roses. But now we are back to creating, crafting, and sharing! We stumbled on to these Candy Corn Decorations last night at Adventures of Goldilox and just had to try them! So easy, affordable supplies and they come out so darn cute, what’s not to love?! Because you can put them inside or outside, they are perfect for brightening up any decor and bringing out the good feelings of this time of year. Just make sure if you put them outside you bring them in during rainy weather!

DIY Easy Fall Leaf Garland

This fall leaf garland takes advantage of the brilliant colors of autumn. While out looking for leaves to make more fall leaf roses, my imagination was running wild! Bill and I picked up so many colors and even found a couple fallen branches we dragged home.

Since writing the post about DIY Fall Leaf Roses, we’ve been asked how to preserve them. Of course, we have since they are so beautiful and fun to make! Who wouldn’t want to keep them around as long as possible? There are quite a few ways to preserve dried leaves and flowers. #3. Nicole Duke’s Easy and Free DIY Fall Decoration

I found these easy DIY fall leaf roses on Facebook but the person who posted it was not the girl who created it, Nicole Duke. I did a Google search for Nicole Duke’s fall leaf roses and nothing came back directly about her but I LOVE this idea and had to share with you! It reminds me of the flowers my mom showed me how to make when I was a kid using leaves. I can picture these as a table centerpiece for Thanksgiving or a wedding. It’s a great autumn decoration. My family had a fun time using the fall leaves for roses and we are sure you will too!
