Blueberry Cobbler

Blueberry Cobbler by SKBrecipes.com

Blueberry picking is one of our favorite family activities. It’s so much fun to spend time outside, enjoying the nice weather and gathering juicy blueberries. Quite often we get so wrapped up in the excitement that we wind up going home with a lot more blueberries than we’ll ever use on cereal or as a snack. Oops! Actually, it’s a great oops because that means we get to make yummy recipes with the blueberries we’ve picked. Blueberry jam is a family favorite, but even more exciting is this delicious blueberry cobbler recipe.

Blueberry Cobbler by SKBrecipes.comWe’ve got a house full of dessert lovers, so of course, a dessert using fresh picked blueberries would have to wind up on our table. Blueberry cobbler is one of our favorites because we love how the blueberries turn gooey but still remain whole enough to have that great bite and mouth feel that fresh blueberries have.

Hot out of the oven or at room temperature, blueberry cobbler satisfies my sweet tooth, and everyone else’s too. We all enjoy it even more with scoop or two of vanilla ice cream on top. And if we’re still working through all the blueberries we picked, we toss some fresh ones on top for added yumminess.
