- 1 1/4 Cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 Cup sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 3/4 Cup Milk I used skim
- 1/3 Cup butter melted
- 2 Cups Fresh Blueberries
- 1/3 Cup sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, ½ cup sugar, salt, and baking powder.
Stir in the milk and melted butter until the batter is just combined.
Pour the batter into a greased 9x9 baking dish and spread it evenly.
Evenly distribute the fresh blueberries over the batter.
Sprinkle the remaining ⅓ cup sugar over the top of the blueberries.
Drizzle the vanilla extract over everything.
Bake for 40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let cool for 5–10 minutes before serving. Serve warm or at room temperature.
- For a more tart flavor, add a squeeze of lemon juice over the berries before baking.
- Can be made with frozen blueberries—just don’t thaw them first.
- Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream for extra indulgence.
