Fall Apple Rose Dessert

We have the best fun apple dessert recipe ever!  Have you ever made something so adorable you couldn’t stop staring at it? These Fall Apple Rose Desserts are one of those for me! Not only are they beautiful but they are perfect for apple picking time and ways to use up apples!

Ingredients
  • 1 Medium Apple Cut in Half, Cored and Sliced Thin
  • 1 Sheet Puff Pastry
  • 1/2 Juice From Lemon
  • 3 Tablespoons Apricot Preserves
  • 2 Tablespoons Water
  • Sprinkle of All Spice (or cinammon & sugar)
  • Sprinkle of Powdered Sugar

Instructions
  1. Thaw puff pastry for 30-40 minutes until pliable but still cool.
  2. Cut the apple in half, core and thinly slice.
    Cored apple
  3. Place apple slices in microwave safe bowl and cover with water.
  4. Squeeze 1/2 a lemon in to water and apples and microwave for 3 minutes.
  5. Mix together 2 tablespoons water and 3 tablespoons apricot preserves.
  6. Roll out puff pastry and cut in to 6 strips along the short side.
    Slice puff pastry in to 6
  7. Spread apricot mixture down center of puff pastry.
  8. Place apples on half of pastry with skinned side of apple facing out.
    Place apricot mixture and apple slices
  9. Sprinkle with all spice or cinnamon and sugar.
  10. Fold puff pastry in half, covering apples (skin part should still be out slightly.
  11. From one end, roll pastry and apple up.
  12. Place in a muffin tin and bake for 35-45 minutes. Do NOT put in cupcake liners. Mine stuck.

  13. Remove from muffin tin and sprinkle powdered sugar on top.

Aren’t they adorable?!!!!?

Normally I would have tips or tricks for a recipe but these apple roses are a very easy recipe to make. A dollop of ice cream or whipped cream would make them even more scrumptious but not needed. Here is a video though if you want to see the steps:
