Little Chick Deviled Eggs for Easter

hard boiled eggs decorated as chicks

We love this cute deviled eggs recipe for Easter!  Eggs and Easter go hand in hand – almost like green eggs and ham!  Dr. Seuss, we’re not; but fun recipe lovers, we are!  And when a recipe is easy AND crafty, we’re totally all in.  Grab the kids, or not, and spend some time decorating Little Chicks Deviled Eggs for Easter.

Easter Egg Deviled Eggs Ingredients:

  • 12 large hard-boiled eggs, peeled
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp. yellow or Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp. white vinegar
  • 1 medium carrot, peeled
  • 24 capers, rinsed and drained
  • Fresh chives
  • Fresh dill

Easter Egg Directions:

Cut the peeled hard-boiled eggs in half from the round ends. Carefully scoop out the yolks into a medium bowl. Break up yolks until there are no lumps.

Add mayonnaise, mustard, and vinegar to the egg yolks.  Using an electric mixer on medium speed, mix until well combined and fluffy.

Slice a carrot and cut into triangles for the beak and arms. Fill eggs with yolk mixture. Decorate as desired using capers for the eyes, carrot triangles for the beak and wings, chives and dill for hair.  Shout out to Natasha’s Kitchen for the cute idea and photo!
