It’s fall!  It’s also time to make goodies for back-to-school events, harvest parties, and Halloween.  These easy Rice Krispies Pumpkins are quick to make and will crown you Queen of Cool Food!  We guarantee it!! The idea is simple and can be varied as much as you care.

Emily’s children are older now, and cereal isn’t always in the cupboard.  Furthermore, Rice Krispies cereal was hardly a favorite except for making those ooey gooey bars all children crave.  While Krispies weren’t available, Rice Chex were.  Crushing this cereal resulted in something that would work well.  Experimenting is always a good thing in the kitchen so she gave those a whirl.Rice Krispie Pumpkins by Sisters Know Best

Please don’t forget to involve your children.  There are lots of steps they can do such as measuring, stirring (with supervision), and shaping.  Having fun in the kitchen and including children is the best way to ensure they’ll love to cook!Rice Krispies Pumpkins Ingredients

Why not make a version of these for Easter to go along with our Spring Crafts?  Eggs would be an easy shape and could be decorated with small candies.  How about fashioning a leaf shape?  Hearts would be simple as well.  OH!  The possibilities!  What shapes have you made?  Please share with us and our followers!
