Emily’s children are older now, and cereal isn’t always in the cupboard. Furthermore, Rice Krispies cereal was hardly a favorite except for making those ooey gooey bars all children crave. While Krispies weren’t available, Rice Chex were. Crushing this cereal resulted in something that would work well. Experimenting is always a good thing in the kitchen so she gave those a whirl.
Please don’t forget to involve your children. There are lots of steps they can do such as measuring, stirring (with supervision), and shaping. Having fun in the kitchen and including children is the best way to ensure they’ll love to cook!
