Tomato Bisque Recipe
Tomatoes are pureed with garlic, onions, and celery and cooked with heavy cream and honey.

- 1 tablespoon butter
- ¼ cup onions chopped
- 1 clove garlic minced
- ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika
- ¼ teaspoon dried basil
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ⅛ teaspoon chili powder
- 1 14-ounce can diced tomatoes with juice
- ½ cup chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 2 tablespoon heavy cream
Saute onions in butter in a soup pot on medium heat until softened.
Stir in garlic and seasonings and cook for 1 minute.
Add the tomatoes and broth to the pot. Bring to a boil and then reduce to a simmer, stirring occasionally for 20 minutes.
Whisk in the honey.
Puree the soup in a blender or use an immersion blender until the soup is smooth.
Return the soup to the pot, whisk in the cream. Serve hot.
SERVING SUGGESTION: Besides grilled cheese, crackers or crusty bread pairs well with soup.
