Ingredients
  

For the Salmon:

  • 4 salmon fillets skin-on or skinless
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil

For the Maple Dijon Glaze:

  • ¼ cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika optional

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Salmon: Pat the salmon dry and season with salt and black pepper.
  • Make the Glaze: Whisk together maple syrup, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, lemon juice, garlic, and smoked paprika.
  • Sear the Salmon: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook salmon skin-side down for 3-4 minutes, then flip and cook for 2 more minutes.
  • Glaze & Cook: Reduce heat to medium-low, pour the glaze over the salmon, and cook for 2-3 more minutes, basting with the glaze.
  • Serve: Transfer to a plate and drizzle with remaining glaze.

Notes

  • Baking Method: Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes, brushing with glaze halfway through.
  • Air Fryer Method: Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 8-10 minutes, brushing with glaze halfway through.
  • Make it Spicy: Add ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes.
  • Soy-Free Option: Use coconut aminos instead of soy sauce.
