- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ cup pure maple syrup or honey adjust for sweetness
- ¼ cup almond milk or milk of choice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Optional toppings: fresh berries shaved chocolate, whipped cream, or chopped nuts
Blend the Base: Place the avocado, cocoa powder, maple syrup, almond milk, vanilla extract, and salt into a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth and creamy. Scrape down the sides as needed to ensure everything is well incorporated.
Adjust Sweetness and Texture: Taste the mousse and adjust the sweetness with additional maple syrup or honey if needed. Add more almond milk, one tablespoon at a time, to achieve the desired consistency.
