Chewy Fudge Brownies

- 4 tablespoons butter melted
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 large egg
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ cup flour
- 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- ¼ teaspoon instant espresso
- ⅛ teaspoon baking powder
- ⅛ teaspoon salt
EXTRA ADD-INS:
- 1 tablespoon chopped nuts optional
- 1 tablespoons mini-chips white, chocolate, peanut butter, butterscotch, etc.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (177 degrees C).
Lightly butter a 4x6 or a 5x5-inch baking dish.
Whisk butter and sugar in a medium-sized mixing bowl.
Stir in egg and vanilla.
Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, instant espresso, baking powder, and salt in a small bowl.
Pour the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and stir to combine. Do not overmix.
Fold in the nuts or other extras.
Pour batter into a greased baking dish (5x5 or 4x6) and bake for 20-25 minutes.
Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes.
