Sesame Beef Lo Mein Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 10 Ounces Ground Beef
  • 1/2 Pound Lo Mein Noodles
  • 3 Ounces Shishito Peppers cut stems off and cut in half
  • 3 Cloves garlic roughly chopped
  • 1 Whole Lime quartered
  • 1/2 Pound Baby Bok Choy root removed and roughly chopped
  • 2 Tbsp Sushi Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 1/2 Tbsp Sambal Oelek
  • 1/2 Tbsp Odobo Seasoning

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 475º.
  • Heat a small pot of water with salt to boil.
  • Meanwhile heat a medium to large frying pan on medium high heat until hot.
  • Place peppers on a baking sheet, spray with pan spray, sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake for 8 minutes until peppers are lightly browned and softened.
  • While the peppers roast, spray the heated frying pan with pan spray, add the beef, season with salt and pepper. Cook, stirring the beef and breaking it up for 4-6 minutes, until cooked through.
  • Add the garlic and bok choy to the pan of beef and cook for 2 mintues until slightly softened. (at the same time, add the noodles to the boiling water)
  • Add 1/2 cup of water and the sambal oelek. Season with salt and water. Cook, stirring occassionally for 3 minutes.
  • Turn off the heat and stir in the juice of 2 lime wedges. Season with salt and pepper.
  • At the same time you are cooking the bok choy, add the noodles to the boiling water and cook for 2 minutes. RESERVE 1/2 cup of the noodle water and drain thoroughly.
  • Add the adobo seasoning, noodles, cooked peppers, sesame oil, sushi sauce, and the reserved cooking water to the pan of bok choy and beef.
  • Serve with the lime on the side.
