I am addicted to Thai food. Growing up in small town Maine I didn’t have the opportunity for Thai food very often. Now I live in a busier place, I have the opportunity a lot more. Andn with the Internet, I can access so many recipes. Add a crockpot and a freezer to the mix and I’m in heaven! This Crockpot Thai Peanut Chicken is scrumptious and touches on all your tastebuds! This is one of my favorites in the Crockpot Freezer Meal series. [Read more…]
Sisters Know Best got together with mom this past weekend and while talking one night we made this little project. Christmas Light Candy Decorations. It required little effort while we rambled on about life. FUN! These would look great on top of a cake or cupcakes, squiggled around a table or in a candy dish. [Read more…]

Mmmmm! This is another of our favorites from the Sisters Know Best Crockpot Freezer Series. We like it so much because the sausage is actually turkey burger flavored like sausage so it’s healthy and hearty. Get the sausage seasoning recipe here. This Crockpot Sausage and Bean Supper recipe is easy to make, freezes well, and can feed a lot of people. We served it 2 different ways. I opted for it on rice and Bill put his in a wrap. Both were amazing! [Read more…]
My Crockpot Beans and Sausage meal does not use real sausage. I use turkey and season it like sausage. I wish I could take the credit for it but I can’t. I got it from food.com. The only thing I do different is leave out the fennel seed because I didn’t have any and I don’t care for it. I LOVE THIS.
I am new to substitutions and creating my own seasoning blends. Do you have any to share?
This slow cooker chicken sausage recipe is extremely healthy because it uses chicken sausage and peppers and onions. Very few ingredients but it produces a wonderful combination of flavors in your mouth. Bill said we definitely keep this one on the Crockpot Freezer Meal Series!
Bill and I had ours completely different and we both loved it! He had his on a sub roll with ketchup, mustard, relish (he’s the condiment king). I had mine with mustard and green tobasco to make it a little spicy.
Do you prefer sweet or spicy?

Candy corn are the rage this Halloween season… at least in my household. We love Halloween and we love to decorate! Why not do it with one of favorite Halloween treats? This Candy Corn Mason Jar Craft is simple and affordable to make.
These Halloween Party Decorations will be super spooky and fun to make! First things first – do NOT eat the trees! There is a wire in them. (Gulp!) Everything else is edible. These are yummy and adorable Halloween centerpieces! The original post says they are not edible; however, it’s because of the black wire they used. Instead of black wire, I twisted my trees together and then used black electrical tape to tie it together. [Read more…]
These Crockpot Beef Tips & Gravy are part of our Crockpot Freezer Meal Series and they are delicious! I will say they had more of a beef stew consistency from cooking all day but I wouldn’t change them. The beefy broth was scrumptious to the point we wanted to drink it! LOL, maybe not that drastic but it was very good.
One alteration I made is adding pepper and onion at the end. This step was not in the original beef tip recipe. I’m glad I thought to do it though as it added to the taste and texture.
Have you ever made something so adorable you couldn’t stop staring at it? These Fall Apple Rose Desserts are one of those for me! Not only are they beautiful but they are perfect for apple picking time and ways to use up apples!
I have seen these on Pinterest and Facebook a lot and finally have got around to making my own. This
easy DIY Fall Leaf Bowl Decoration is affordable and easy to do with children but it also makes a beautiful decoration for your home or a gift.
Ha. Ha. I wrote the introduction to this project before we actually did it. Lesson learned. It is not easy. But the results we got made us smile and I’m sure if we had more patience, they would have come out better… maybe?
Slow Cooker Salsa Chicken is one of those EASY Crockpot meals in the Sisters Know Best Crockpot Freezer Meal Series. I wish when I bought my ingredients I had purchased enough to make a bunch of these. I only made 2 batches of this one. 🙁 It’s healthy, quick, and flavorful! Not to mention versatile. The next time we have it, the family wants to try it as a burrito. I’m happy with it as is on rice… but I will try it with some black beans added in.
Thai food is one of my favorite discoveries! But when we order take out it’s easily $70! This meal was $10 and we ate it twice. PLUS it’s part of the Sisters Know Best Freezer Meal Series so I have another in my freezer for another time. The peanut butter gives it a creamy flavor and adding the vegetables makes this Slow Cooker Thai Pork with Peanut Sauce recipe a delicious well rounded meal!
