DIY Peppermint Candy Platter

Peppermint-candiesHow many of you remember our tutorial for Peppermint Candy Christmas Ornaments? Or the peppermint candy wreath in our  DIY wreaths post? If you liked them, you are going to love this Peppermint Candy Platter! We have so many of those little candies left now that the holiday is over and we think this is a great way to use them up! Perfect platter for Valentine’s Day or Christmas next year! Get melting!

You can get really creative with the design of the platter. Some people use various colored mints, mix candy canes in or use lollipops to really prop. They all look amazing and are sure to be a conversation piece at your next holiday party!

Make sure that you pack the candies tightly because if they have too much space between then they don’t meld together as well and then can crack. If you never plan to eat the platter (yum!), you could always shellac it or use modge podge to preserve it.
