The leaves are ALIVE right now. While out looking for leaves to make more fall leaf roses, my imagination was running wild! Bill and I picked up so many colors and even found a couple fallen branches we dragged home.
I made a couple more fall leaf roses and then took the rest to make this fall leaf garland for our post outside. Another free and easy fall decoration that was fun to do!
Here’s how I did it:
I took the branches we found and tied them to the post with fishing line. Make sure to tie in two or three spots. I made sure a couple areas went under the branch to prevent it from slipping down. I used Bill’s finger to secure the string tightly. He loves to help me, right Bill? 😉
Next, I bent a few leaves over the fishing line to hide the line.
Then I filled in with various colors to make it really pop!
This was a lot of fun and it would look great along a fence, next to your door, on your mailbox post! I can’t wait to see what you do so please be sure to share your pictures with us on our Facebook page!
What are some fall projects you’ve been doing around your house?
